
Early Life and Education
Athnan Aden Mohamed, a promising scholar and determined young individual, was born in Moyale, Marsabit County, into a family that valued education and hard work. He is the second-to-last born in his family and shares a close bond with his two sisters, Samia and Yasmin, as well as his brother, Abdiqani. While they came from a humble background, their parents worked tirelessly to ensure their children had access to education and opportunities.

Athnan’s educational journey began at Bilal Academy in Moyale, where he attended classes up to Class 4. Even at a young age, he showed leadership qualities and was appointed as the class monitor. His dedication to his responsibilities and academic performance made him stand out among his peers.
Rising Leadership and Academic Achievements
He continued his studies at K Rashid Primary School in Moyale from Class 5 to Class 8. Throughout his time at the school, Athnan consistently demonstrated his leadership abilities and was entrusted with various roles. In Class 5, he was chosen as the class captain, further cementing his reputation as a responsible and capable individual.

As he progressed to Class 6, Athnan was appointed as the environmental prefect, showcasing his concern for the environment and his commitment to making a positive impact on his surroundings. In Class 7, his peers recognized his leadership skills and elected him as the chairman of the student council, where he proved his ability to represent the students’ interests effectively.
In the pinnacle of his primary school journey, Class 8, Athnan’s leadership qualities shone brightly. He was not only elected as the president advisor of the school but also served as a student advisor. This dual role highlighted the respect and admiration his peers and teachers had for him, trusting him to offer guidance and support.
Challenges and Triumphs

After completing his primary education with flying colors, Athnan faced a significant obstacle when he joined Concordia Secondary School in Mombasa. Despite excelling in subjects like History and Islamic Religious Education (IRE), financial constraints caused him to be temporarily unable to attend school for two months during Form 2.
However, Athnan’s perseverance and determination did not waver. Through his strong will and a stroke of luck, he received a sponsorship that enabled him to continue his studies at Concordia Secondary School until Form 3. His commitment to his studies and resilience during difficult times inspired those around him, making him a role model for his peers.

A New Chapter: Pursuing Excellence

Currently, Athnan Aden Mohamed has embarked on a new chapter in his academic journey. He transferred to Dandu Secondary School in the North Eastern region, where he continues to excel academically. His passion for the sciences has led him to achieve top honors in Biology, and his proficiency in languages remains evident with outstanding performance in English.
Athnan’s determination, leadership, and academic excellence make him a beacon of hope for his community and a testament to the power of hard work and resilience.
